Default Best Underwater Cam

I'm curious, what is the best underwater cam? I plan on doing some scuba when I go on vacation in Australia and I want to have the best underwater cam. Are there ones that are digital as well? Is there a multiuse/multipurpose cam?

HELLO, I HAVE A SONY DSCN1 DIGITAL CAMERA THAT TAKES VIDEO AND AWESOME PICTURES, ITS A 8.1 MEGAPIXEL CAMERA. ONE OF THE ACCESSORIES OF THE CAMERA IS AN ACRYLIC COVER IN WHICH THE CAMERA WILL GO AS DEEP AS 130 FEET UNDERWATER. I THINK ITS CALLED THE MARINE COVER. THE CAMERA COST ME $300 AND THE COVER $130 ON EBAY.

Flubb10, you probably purchased a camera already, but for others, I would highly recommend the SD series by Cannon if you want a simple, affordable underwater camera. When you move up into the SLR range you start paying $3,000 + just for the underwater housing. The SD series housing is ~$150 and just makes a lot more sense.

I wasn't aware they made the SD's for underwater. I was looking at something, not sure of the name about a month ago (needed a new camera anyways) and the only ones I found were really ugly. I know thats not what you really think about when getting a new camera, but to drop that much money on something ugly is just wrong to me.

Unfortunatly underwater cameras tend to be a bit ugly since it takes a few things normal cameras don't to make them waterproof. In the end, who is going to be judging you on how your camera looks? The Reef?
