Default Total Expenses

How much you spent for your aquarium?
My aquarium at home is not too large but I've spent almost $250 bucks all in all. Expenses include the aquarium, hood and light, heater, filter, gravel, and my fish.

Fish, coral and all I couldn't begin to think about what I have invested. In my 110 I have several ORA and Tyree corals that cost some big bucks (Not including my PPE's). I know just for my tank & equip, minus livestock, I have about $2k. I'm sure fish, rock, and coral I have at least that much invested. So consevratively I'll say $4k for my 110. And let me add I built the cabnet and DIYed everything I could to save money.

My 2.5 pico around $200 stocked.

20g frag tank, roughly $1k.

Wow, I could have baught a nice used boat for all that, LOL.

I like reefing, but I just don't have that much money to get into it as much as some.

You don't have to spend a fortune to have a decent setup. You can cruise local forums and craigslist to find some pretty good deals. I feel I made out pretty good considering most of my equipment I bought used. For example, I bought an Aqua C EV180 skimmer in perfect condition for $150. New they cost around $400.
I occasionally see 55g setups and such for under $200. Usually the only other expense from that would be for lighting. You could also do a FOWLR and keep the stock lighting. If there's a will there's a way.
