Default Lighting for a 10-gallon nano reef?

I am starting a nano reef in a typical 10-gallon. What is my best option for lighting to maintain a lot of gorgeous corals?

if your going to have only soft corals, you can go with power compacts, a Current-USA double satellite will do ok. If you plan to have other light demanding creatures, you should get a good SunPod, also from Current-USA.

I prefer metal halide but as it's been said, if you chose soft coral, power compact will be just fine. I have a coralife light on my 25 gallon and it's a great lamp.
Also, you could have have a look to the LED light made my PFO Lightning. They have one that is an equivlent to metal halide (the solaris) and one equivalent to power compact (the galileo). They cost more at first but you save lot for a long time (40% less power, you can change the light colour at will, produce no heat, lights last for life and have many different mode like sunset, sunrise, full moon, no moon, cloudy day, sunny day, etc ).

Establishment of a saltwater reef aquarium Nano is a great way to sneak into the hobby without breaking the bank. Experienced amateurs, and the possible installation of a, just a small piece of the ocean, will fit almost anywhere! Nano reef tank job tremendously unique fish house expertise, such as the hippocampus, pipe fish or shrimp pistol.
