Question Where can I

find information on the different types of algae that are growing in my tank? How can I tell if its good or bad. There is a red algae growing on some of my rocks and my sand(crushed coral).

test your phosphate and see if you can increase your flow.
that could be cyanobacteria.
my recomendation to you is to first use a new toothbrush and clean all your rock with it.then let the skimmer clean all the derbis psyphon your crushcoral add new destile or R/O water and use Chemi-clean. and go then by the manufacture recomendations.....

Thank you, it is cyano, I have increased the flow and I did scrub the rocks, there is still a little bit left on the back glass though.
