Default Switching tanks

Hey guys. First post. Just bought a new tank and am about to start cycling, and want to do a switch over. Just had a question about the live rock. How should I best handle switching over live rock. Should I do it straight away, and if so what do I need to do before putting it in the new tank. Thanks heaps guys
