Default Sinking Ships To Form Reefs?

I've heard of scrapped ships being intentionally sunk to help form reefs.

I guess it makes sense if the oil and whatever toxic chemicals have been removed first. Have you heard of this?

Yep that have been done before, but as you said, the ship has to be prepared, cutting edges has to be removed, wirings, obviously any oils and chemicals, etc.

In the shores of Puerto Rico I've heard there are some "Reef Ships" were turists can dive in to see them.

The sinking of large obsolete ships to become artificial reefs is such a good project. Infact, artificial reefs are helpful to control beach erosion. Have you heard about Liberty Ships Reef?

Old vessels have been used to help form reefs once they have been taken out of service. Common sense mandates that all cargo/chemicals be removed before they are used in this manner.

In what place we can see lots of sunken ships used to form reefs? Any idea? I remembered the World War before where numerous battleships sunk and damaged.

Well, if you hadn't asked I would be able to tell you, lol. I had an area in mind when I typed my first reply, but since then I've had somewhat of a man moment (some people call them blonde moments) and I can't recall it. If it comes back to me, I will let you know.

Oh, come now! Men don't have inherent problems with their brains... Just a little occasional "user error" from time to time.
