Loud drain Pipe

I finished setting up my new 98gal corner tank a few days ago, I hired a guy to drill the holes, he made one 3/4 inch drain pipe and the return line runs smoothly behind the tank. All good, but one problem, the drain pipe is making a LOUD and ANNOYING sound, you can't even watch TV or talk on the phone.

Any body with a good idea to reduce the burping sound?

man first thing is that he make a mistake using 3/4" insted of 1 1/2" ..
how big is the bulk head? if is 1" just take that pipe out if is Threaded and replace it with a 1 or 1"5 pipe. 2) do like a durso pipe

I don't have an overflow box, so I can't use that method.
I only have a 3/4 inch drain pipe standing in the back corner of the tank.

Any one with other suggestions?
