when i added the damsels in to my tank for cycling I bought 5 one of them died the other four are still alive and annoying the hell out of my Tang and clownfish.
But it makes for great entertainment when the tang chases after them.
Thank's for the warning. I encountered the same thing last year. My mom bought 6 small damsels for me. They were doing great for 3 days but after that they were all dead. When I checked my tank, I found out that they died because my sister put lots of dried corals.
green chromis are fine but if live sand and live rock are used to cycle the tank damsels are not needed and should be avoided They are just evil and a huge pain to get out.

Damsels are one of the worse ways to cycle a tank.
Add the right ammount of LR and LS to your tank. Then add one cocktail shrimp to start your cycle. Done.
