Default What did I do wrong? My Anemone did not last long.

Bought a new Condylactis Anemone and a snail for my 28g tank yesterday. The tank is established and my Damsel fish is getting along fine, however when I introduced the anemone and snail to the tank, they both were dead by the next day. What happened? Did they go into shock? All the levels are fine and the fish is happy. Usually it takes a lot longer for me to kill things off, even if I am new to this hobby.

Have you ever used copper in that tank before? it would be unusual for those things to just die overnight

Never used copper. I acclimated them by allowing their bags to float in the tank for 10 minutes. Nothing else.

They died from shock when you put them into a tank without drip acclimating. You put them in water very different from the old water and it killed them. It is puzzling that the snail died, but the anemone is no surprise. How old is your tank? What lighting do you have? What are your water parameters?
