Default My one gallon makes big trouble, I hope not here

This was my first one gallon tank that I plan on turning into a reef tank, and what a ruckus it causes in a few forums . I hope you guys are a little more understanding. This was a gift for my wife. I had planned to take this to her job and surprise her with this little pretty tank. The big problem was that before I posted the question, I put a very small damsel in the tank after it had cycled and that made big big trouble, no one had anything nice to say and they sounded like they wanted to take a trip to my house to take the little damsel away because a fish dose not belong in a one gallon tank. I have been posting up the water readings every nite to let these people know that the little guy was just fine. I went through the trouble of taking pictures and posting them up. I plan on putting a video on "u tube" that I can link to those sites, showing that the little fish is fine and in good hand, I work at home and have all the time in the world to care for this little guy, I give his tank a cup water change two times a day which equals to about 5% water change and I notice that this little guy is happy, very alert and eating well. I just started cycling a BioCube 8 and plan on making that his home, so don't worry he is in good hand.

Please let me know what you thing about this, is it as bad as the people make it sound.

I would love to keep this tank with one fish and coral, but I need info on what fish stays small and makes very little movement?

I plan to buy a T5 so I can put one more tank together with this one and the T5 strip looks good and help the coral and fish.

Here are a few pictures of the little one gallon tank with my little man “Nemo’s couson Limo “ and Lime love it in there. But his rent lease is almost up and I am going to move him.

Looks fine to me , since your going to move him soon i wont say anything negative about it just that your little Damsel IS going to get bigger . If this is your first attempt at a reef tank I wouldn't have gone so small , tiny tanks = big problems . As for a fish , maybe a small goby or a cleaner wrass , I think they both stary small depending on which one you get .
As for corals I would do zoa's and maybe a mushroom .

I wont give you grief about a fish in a one gallon, but I will leave you with a thought.

Ever been to jail ?
If not, think about being stuck in a 6' by 9' cell for a long period of time. Sound fun ?

Welcome I'm not going to bash you but I will agree with Dj. If you check my website we had a great 3/4 gal tank and a 5 1/2 gallon tank but we just didn't have many fish. most corals and small shrimps would be fine. I believe the down fall of most nano tanks is too many fish.I think your tank mantainance is fine but your choice of fish will out grow your tank quickly. stick to soft corals and few fish and the tank will be great.
