Blue lights degrade faster. Corals constantly have to adjust to falling light levels. Basically, if you want to have blue lights operating at their highest potential, you have to change them every 3 months or so. Full spectrum doesn't do that. There's some complicated scientific explanation I can drag out of the dredges of my saltwater magazine pile if you want.
